It seems like just yesterday that we aired our first episode of Grape Encounters Radio. But six years and 300 episodes later, we’ve covered an amazing amount of ground and number of topics, so, in celebration of hitting the big 300, Grape Encounters takes you to the state where they do everything big! Recently, David visited the Texas Wine Country wine region and did a live show from downtown San Antonio, there he met Dr. and Mrs. Richard Becker of the renowned Becker Vineyards, then visits with them and their winemaker, Jonathan Leahy for more insight into the growing Texas wine business.

Before David visits with the Beckers, it’s a healthy dose of wine news with Larry Gifford and an introduction to a wine varietal that used to be a blending grape but is now making a name for itself as a delicious single varietal white wine, in Sipping with Sarah. Yumm!
