The most highly reported story from the wine industry this year is the harvest of 2015 and the impact the severe 4-year west coast drought has had on production. If you’re a wine enthusiast, chances are you don’t know who to believe.
Some say the production is not off all that much, while grape growers in some regions report catastrophic losses and production down as much as 80%. Now while we always like to present stories in the most positive light, it just seems plain ridiculous to sugarcoat what is obvious to anyone that has an intimate connection with the wine biz… 2015 is shaping up to be an economic disaster. And beyond that, not all wine experts are convinced that there is a silver lining to the story. That is to say, despite low yields, the quality of wines is going to be exceptional.

Because of the importance of this story, David has invited two world-class winemakers who he absolutely trusts to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. If you want the facts rather than what some think you want to hear, then tune in as David welcomes wine rock stars Adam Lazarre and Wes Hagen who promise to tell it like it is regardless of how painful or pleasant the Vintage 2015 forecast is.
Adam LaZarre, WInemaker

Both Adam and Wes are associated with some of the finest brands in America and beyond, and though there’s a lot of bad news, the wine world is not likely to crumble like the parched soil in California as well as other regions of the world. Get the facts from the horses’ mouths on this week’s Grape Encounters Radio![haiku url=”https://grapeencounters.com/media/ep325.mp3″ player=1761]
